4.2.3. Opening formulas and reaction step rules

Use Open from File to load a file that has been saved with the Graphic Composer. The content is displayed on the window area and becomes editable.

When only bonds or lines are modified in an original file, the modified file has the same graphical part as the original one. If this part is removed from the modified file, the Composer will ask for the File for graphics, before it can display it. In this case the original file should be entered.

4.2.4. Opening a rule from the list

Once a list of reaction step rules has been put into a file (normally with the option Add rule), use Open rule from list under File to load a rule in the file given its number. A panel appears where the file containing the list and the number of the rule can be entered. The rules in the list are numbered beginning with 0.

4.2.5. Opening a step in the synthesis

If the computation successfully finds a formula with the searched compounds and a file name was entered in the DERIVATION field, the synthesis of the searched compounds is written into the file. In this case every step of the synthesis can be displayed by selecting Open step in derivation from the File menu. A panel appears where the file containing the synthesis and the number of the step can be entered.

4.2.6. Opening a product from the generation

If the computation was carried out with a file name in the GENERATION field, the sequence of all products of a reaction of the start compounds is written to the file when the computation has terminated. In this case to display an obtained product choose Open product from generation under File. A panel appears where the file containing the sequence of all products and the number of the product can be entered. The products in the generation are numbered beginning with 0. Product 0 is the start compounds.
