How it works

The page is updated by entering its name and a password into the initial Wup HTML document.

A form containing the updatable parts of the page in their current state will be displayed. These areas can now be modified simply by typing in new text or other information and submiting it.

The parts that are updatable have been specified by surrounding them with short tags.

A backup of the original document is created. As a security precaution the program works on a login/logout base. After submission or logout a new login is needed to further submit changes.

Online configuration

Adjusting the Wup programs to your context is done with the online configuration. After download you only need to create a passwords list and transfer the files to the web server at the proper location.

The online configuration is based on the program itself and is carried out with the use of forms that ask for the necessary information regarding your server and your placement preferences. It offers hints and suggestions as you go.
