Explanation of the used expressions and lines

This is not a complete list of the expressions or lines that can be used with the program.

The asterisk * matches every symbol.

>H matches all symbols "greater than" H, in particular H, O, N, C.

>O matches all symbols "greater than" O, in particular O, N, C.

~X means "not the symbol X". Therefore the line between C and ~- corresponds to a regular single bond or to the assignment of a positive charge.

X|Y means "X or Y". Therefore a line between O and H|- is equivalent to a single bond between O and H or to a negative charge on the O.

A dotted line with small dots matches any bond (single, double or higher).

A normal dotted line allows any bond or none.
